Observation

The parents of an enrolled child reported concern of a staff member’s inappropriate interactions including kissing a child to Program Director (aka Area Manager) B.M. attention. Based on the nature of the allegations, the reported concern was required to be reported to DCYF Child Abuse and Neglect reporting hotline and to Child Care Licensing. During the assessment of the complaint allegations, Right at School Staff reported to licensing that the Program Director conducted an internal investigation regarding the allegations, and the outcome of the assessment was shared with the employee and the program's HR department. B.M. did not report the concerns to the DCYF/CPS intake line as soon as possible or within 48hours from when you learned of the alleged concerns as required by WAC.
